A ride is only worth taking if it ends well. This is what sits in the app, on the handlebars and in an operator’s hands to keep it that way — and the part we need from you.

How we think about it

Three things every ride depends on

The bike
A fleet is only as safe as its worst-kept bike. Usage, battery and service history sit on one screen for the operator, so a vehicle that needs attention is visible before a rider is the one to find out.
The ride
Directions and stories arrive as audio, and the phone is locked to the handlebars rather than held in a hand. The route reaches you through your ears; your eyes stay on the road.
The rider
Rules change between cities, and between one street and the next. The app shows where a bike belongs, where it does not, and what the operator needs you to know before the wheels turn.

Watching the ride, so you can enjoy it

Crash detection
The app notices a hard stop or a fall, checks in with the rider, and alerts the operator if nobody answers.
A mounted phone
Every ride comes with a premium SP Connect mount, so the phone stays on the handlebars and both hands stay on the grips.
Audio, not screens
Turn-by-turn directions and the stories along the route play out loud, in the rider's language, so there is nothing to read while moving.
Report an issue
Something wrong with the bike goes straight to the operator from inside the app, with where you are and which vehicle it is already attached.
Safety onboarding
A first ride starts with a walkthrough — how the bike works, what the rules are where you are standing, and what to do if the ride goes wrong. Nobody's first lesson should be learned in traffic.
Responsible ride achievements
The badges that reward finishing a route also reward finishing it well: riding within the bounds, parking where you should, and leaving the bike ready for whoever takes it next.

Before you set off

Four things we ask of every rider

Wear a helmet
Every ride, fitted properly. Where the law requires one, it is a condition of riding at all.
Know the local rules
Where you may ride, how fast, and whether a helmet is mandatory all change from place to place. Complying with them is the rider's responsibility.
Look the bike over
Brakes, tyres, lights and the mount, before you set off. Anything that looks wrong is worth reporting rather than riding.
If something happens
If anyone is hurt or in danger, call emergency services first. Once everyone is safe, tell the operator — the app will connect you.

The controls behind the fleet

Riders see a bike and an app. An operator sees the fleet behind them, and the three tools that keep it in a state worth renting.

Geofences
Draw where a fleet may go and where it may not, and riders see those boundaries as they ride.
Live location
Every vehicle on a map, so a bike that has stopped somewhere it should not have can be found and dealt with.
Ride history
A record of every ride on every vehicle, which is what turns a maintenance schedule from a guess into a rota.
